It was a very dramatic final act for the rookie who had taken the center stage during the NBA All Star Weekend in Los Angeles, California.

Blake Griffin from the Los Angeles Clippers made a remarkable leap, throwing down the ball into the rim. But that is not the complete story; to make things more complicated and creative, Blake and his coach requested for a good-looking car to be parked right before the rim and team mate Baron Davis went out signaling that he was to give an alley-hoop.

Griffin took an alley-hoop from Davis and slammed the ball into the rim while flying over a car 2011 Kia Optima. Griffin went against Javale McGee into the final match. The NBA 2011 Slam Dunk Contest was sponsored by Sprite.

Graffin said during an interview,

"There's a little pressure on us to really put on a show, but I thought those guys all did a great job.”
